AAVA interior studio creates residential interiors that are calm, intentional, and shaped with a timeless sensibility. The focus lies on spaces that feel open and balanced, where light, proportion and material come together in a thoughtful, cohesive way. The name AAVA, derived from Finnish, refers to openness and  expansive space - an idea that guides the studio’s approach to creating interiors that feel effortless and at ease.

The studio is led by Mervi Arpalahti, an interior designer based in Wiesbaden. With a long career in international business, she brings a structured and considered approach to her work, paired with a strong sense for organisation and clarity. Originally from Finland, her perspective is naturally shaped by Scandinavian design, defined by simplicity, functionality, and a quiet attention to detail. Her work resonates with clients who value thoughtful, well-resolved spaces and appreciate a clear and guided process.
